About

Born on August 6, 1963, in Alaska, Richard Miller was the youngest of three children. His father served in the Air Force, leading the family to move frequently during his childhood. Despite the frequent relocations, much of Miller’s early years were spent in Alaska and Nebraska, environments that would later influence his artistic vision. The vast, untamed landscapes of Alaska and the wide-open plains of Nebraska instilled in him a deep appreciation for nature’s diverse beauty.

Following in his father's footsteps, Miller joined the Air Force, and it was during his service that he developed an interest in photography. His time in the Air Force provided him with opportunities to travel and capture diverse landscapes, further fueling his passion for the art form. It wasn’t until his sons graduated from high school and moved out that Miller reignited his passion for photography. This renewed interest led him to pursue his craft with vigor, focusing on the landscapes that had always captivated his imagination.
